I have over 15 years experience in the criminal law arena. I started my criminal practice in 2001 focusing on predominantly criminal defense. I was often told that I could not make it on just criminal defense and that I would have to branch out into other areas. Nine years later my practice is still over 90% criminal defense and is solely based on referrals. To be effective in the criminal defense arena, you have to constantly be in the criminal defense arena. Your attorney must know the solicitors, judges, courts and police officers.
Prior, to the practice of law I worked with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office and spent over four years as a Deputy with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. This insight gained in law enforcement has been invaluable.
